The LORD God is a Sun and Shield

Show Notes

In Joshua 10, Joshua asked God to let the sun stand still so that Israel could completely destroy their enemies. Joshua 10:13 says, "....The sun stopped in the middle of the sky and delayed going down about a full day. There has never been a day like it before or since; a day when the LORD listened to a human being." The LORD God was Israel's Sun and Shield. God is our Sun and Shield as well. Psalm 84:11 says, "for the LORD God is a Sun and Shield. The LORD bestows favor and honor. No good thing does he wihold from those whose walk is blameless," (NIV).
