In 2 chronicles 14, King Asa won a great victory over Zerah the Cushite and his army. God sent a prophet to tell him, "The LORD is with you while you are with Him. If you seek Him, He will be found by you . But if you forsake Him, He will forsake you." However, after he was warned King Asa forsook God in the latter part of his life. So, God forsook Him. God sent Hanani, the prophet to chastise him. Hanani prophesied, "For the eyes of the LORD run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to give strong support to those whose heart is blameless toward him. You have done foolishly in this, for from now on you will have wars," (ESV). Every nation and everyone of us should pay heed to these consequential words today.
