God created us to worship Him alone. Worship means to show reverence and adoration to a deity. In Luke 4, satan tried to bribe Jesus into worshipping him. Jesus refuted him with the Word of God. "The devil led him up to a high place and showed him in an instant all the kingdoms of the world. And he said to him, "I will give you all their authority and splendor; it has been given to me, and I can give it to anyone I want to. Jesus answered, "It is written: 'Worship the Lord your God and serve him only.'" Luke 4:5-6, 8 NIV.
God desires worshippers who worship Him in Spirit and truth. We must be born of the Spirit in order to worship God in Spirit and in truth. Who are you worshipping?
