In Isaiah 40, the prophet Isaiah prophesied of a voice of one calling in the wilderness to prepare the way for the Lord. John the Baptist was the one whom God appointed to prepare the way for Jesus' first appearance into the earth. We are the John the Baptist generation called to prepare the way for Jesus' second coming. "How can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them?" Romans 10:14b.
