The word Freedom is very popular these days and has been in the public's eye quite frequently. Freedom can be defined as the power or right to act, speak , or think as one without hindrance or restraint; the state of not being imprisoned or enslaved. But what is true freedom. In the West, we live in a free environment but many of us are depressed, miserable, addicted to drugs, alcohol, locked up in prisons, hurting, broken families and relationships, financial hardships, broken government, etc.
In John 8:32, Jesus tells us that He came to the earth to set us free. If Jesus came to set us free, that means we all need to experience true freedom. "To the Jews who had believed him, Jesus said, "If you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples. Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free." John 8:31-32 NIV
