In John 10, the Jews challenged Jesus on his identity. They refused to believe that he was the Messiah, the Deliverer of Israel or the Christ, the Anointed One. They accused Jesus of blasphemy and attempted to stone him, because he said he was God’s Son. However, Jesus disputed their accusation by reminding them of Psalm 82:6, where men are referred to as gods; therefore, why can’t he be the Son of God, the one God the Father had set apart to come into the world, to deliver mankind from their bondage to sin and death. The Scriptures cannot be broken or annulled. They must be fulfilled.
Many today, also believe that it is blasphemy for Christians to believe that Jesus is the Son of God and God the Son. However, the Scriptures or the sacred text cannot be broken.
