The title “Prince of this world” is a Biblical term which Jesus uses three times in the scriptures to describe Satan. It means satan holds a temporary authority over the sinful fallen world and its systems operating as a cunning adversary who opposes God and influences humanity through deception and temptation. However, at Jesus’ crucifixion, Jesus defeated satan.
Jesus said in John 16:11b, “…because the ruler of this world (Satan) has been judged and condemned.” John 16:11 AMP. Condemn means to sentence someone to a particular punishment, especially death; to pronounce someone guilty and sentence them to punishment. At the cross Jesus defeated sin, death, the grave and satan and liberated mankind. The “prince of this world” has been judged and condemned. #victoryinjesus
