In Exodus, God judged Pharoah and the Egyptians, because they refused to let the Israelites, His people go free. While God brought the plagues upon the Egyptians, He dealt differently with the land of Goshen, the land where His people resided. God shielded His people while He poured out His wrath upon Egypt. Today God promises to shield us from all harm, because of His covenant with us. Malachi 3:18 says, "Then you will again distinguish between the righteous and the wicked, between the one who serves God and the one who does not serve Him," (AMP).
