In 2 Kings 4, the Shunamite woman experienced great tragedy when she lost her only child. However, she didn't blame God for her loss, but instead she sought God with all her heart. She was able to say, "It is well" throughout her trial. God heard her cry and restored her son to her. Jesus told us that in this world we will experience trials and tribulations, but we should not be discouraged because He has overcome the world. John 16:33. That is why we can say, "It is well with my soul."
