In John 6, many of Jesus' disciples deserted Him. They abandoned the faith because they were offended at His words. Many of Jesus' followers turned back to the world and no longer followed Him. Jesus then asked his twelve disciples if they also wanted to leave the faith like the others. However, Simon Peter answered, "Lord to whom should we go? You have the words of eternal life. We have come to believe and know that you are the Holy One of God," John 6:68-69. Hebrews 10:23 says, "Let us firmly hold the profession of our faith without wavering, for He who promised is faithful," (MEV).
