In Daniel 3, Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego were thrown into a fiery furnace for refusing to renounce their faith. They refused to compromise and disobey God's commandments. God protected them when they were thrown into the fiery furnace of testing. Jesus tells us of the hour of trial or testing that will come upon the earth to test all of us. That is why He commands us to hold fast to the faith, so that no one will take our crown of life [by leading us to renounce the faith], Revelation 3:11 (AMP).
