Romans 3:23 says, "for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God." However, Jesus warns us not to die in our sins. If we die in our sins, we will be eternally separated from the source and the author of life, Jesus Himself. However, we do not have to, because God has made the provision for us through the sacrifice of Jesus Christ, His Son, for us to be cleansed of our sins. Romans 6:23 says, "For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord," (NIV).
